In Reply To Does Anybody Recommend Putting in J-Spec Engine? Pros & Cons (n/m) posted by hotZ on November 30, 2002 at 01:55 AM

Message what you are buying. you could get an awesome engine that'll last you a long time, or you could get an engine that's been sitting outside in japan for the past 3 years and was beat to hell. i recently got a JDM engine from marcus at zcar motorsports in nebraska. i pulled the intake manifold and the cams looked as if he cleaned them before he sent the engine. the spark plugs also look great. i was very pleased with my engine. i've put about 1,000 miles on the engine since, and its running strong. i would recommend getting a warranty if you get a jspec engine. your other options would be to rebuild your engine or buy a longblock from nissan and building the heads. that would be a more expensive route, but definelty the most reliable.

hope this helps.

btw, new sig...whatcha thing?
